The ART SnakeAnchor is an anchoring line that is available in two different lengths, 250 and 500 cm, making it suitable for almost any tree anchoring application. There are connecting eyes along the entire length of the line, allowing you to adjust the line to almost any desired length. The 250 cm version has these stitched loops every 7 cm and the 500 cm version every 9 cm.
NB. The anchor point to which you attach the ART SnakeAnchor must be able to withstand at least 10 kN in order to work safely.
Integrated fall arrestor
The stitching in the line acts as a fall arrestor, reducing the force released in the event of a fall (without compromising the breaking strength of the product). These connecting eyelets in the line can be statically loaded up to 4 kN. This significantly reduces the impact on the climber in the event of a fall.
Top anchor and trunk anchor
The ART SnakeAnchor can be used as a trunk/base anchor, allowing you to use the line to rescue a climber. You then need to attach a descender (e.g. a Petzl I'D Evac) to the anchor and thread the rescue line through it so that you can lower the person safely from the ground. The anchor can also be used as a top anchor, allowing you to easily install the line at height around a branch.
