Skalt Base

The Skalt Base is an EN 361 certified fall-arrest harness designed for occasional use in height safety applications. The harness is made from robust polyester webbing with steel buckles and D-rings and is suitable for users up to 140 kg. The Click 1-2-3 system with quick-release buckles allows the harness to be donned quickly and intuitively. The Base features both a dorsal and a sternal attachment D-ring, and an integrated fall indicator on the shoulder strap clearly shows when the harness has been subjected to a fall and must be replaced.

Straightforward baseline solution for fall protection
The Skalt Base has been developed as an entry-level fall-arrest harness for work-at-height situations with limited use, such as occasional roof access, installation work or facility maintenance. The combination of rear and front D-rings makes the harness suitable for use with lanyards incorporating energy absorbers, as well as with vertical fall-arrest or climbing systems. The robust construction and high maximum user load of 140 kg provide a reliable foundation within a fall-arrest system.

Click 1-2-3 system and fall indicator for safe operation
All Skalt harnesses, including the Base, feature the Click 1-2-3 system: one closure on the chest and two closures on the leg loops. This reduces the risk of misuse and shortens donning time. Adjustable shoulder straps and leg loops allow correct positioning of the dorsal D-ring between the shoulder blades and the front D-ring in the centre of the chest. The integrated fall indicator on the shoulder strap provides a clear visual signal that, after a fall, the harness must be withdrawn from service and replaced in line with site procedures.
