Compact self-braking descender for professional rope access technicians, rescue workers and tactical operations. The Petzl Repairable RIG is engineered for intensive, demanding use in industry, construction, rope access and rescue. Its repairable design allows users to replace the cam and pin with a dedicated repair kit, vastly extending service life and simplifying maintenance.

Clear rope installation markings and an integrated rope guide ensure fast, safe setup. The ergonomic handle offers secure grip and smooth control during descent. The moving side plate can be opened while still attached to the harness, making transition to another system efficient. The AUTO-LOCK system allows rapid workstation positioning without operating the handle or tying off the device. When the rope is removed, the handle automatically stores, reducing snags when carried on a harness.

Two descent modus: over the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel for optimal control and minimal rope twisting. Suitable for connection to harness or anchor point. With the rope blocked, short ascents are possible without using the handle. Can also be used for lead belaying using climbing techniques.

The reinforced rope friction area minimises early wear on the side plate. The cam shape optimises rope pinching and reduces device wear. Fully user-maintainable, with cam and pin replaceable using the separate repair kit (D021CA00).
