Petzl Astro

The Petzl Astro is specially designed for rope access work. Thanks to the extra-large Croll (ascender), climbing a rope is even more efficient and opening the Croll during complex manoeuvres such as a rope change is even easier.

Increased comfort
Thanks to the comfortable and wide hip belt, the harness provides good support for the body. The leg loops are extra wide and feature breathable foam padding. At the rear, the leg loops can be adjusted to the desired distance from the hip belt.

The harness also has various gear loops, making it easy to carry tools and equipment. The gear loops and tool holders are spread across the entire hip belt.

European version
Certified in accordance with European standards: CE EN 361, EN 813, EN 358 and EN 12841 type B. The European Petzl Astro is largely comparable to the international version. Important differences are the technical differences in standards, the absence of tool holders on the shoulder straps, different buckles are used and the European version does not have fall indicators.

International version
In addition to being certified for both the European and North American markets, the international version of the Astro has a number of very interesting features that offer advantages over the European version:

• A fall indicator is provided on the back
• Both shoulder straps are equipped with tool holders where you can store the hooks of your fall line when not in use. If you get caught on something, your hooks will release, preventing the risk of falling or tripping.
• Available in an all-black version

• The waist belt and shoulder straps are equipped with self-locking DoubleBack buckles for quick and easy adjustment
• Leg loops and shoulder straps feature Fast buckles for easy and quick opening and closing while maintaining the set dimensions. These quick-release buckles are also easy to use with gloves.
• Petzl Podium (seat) can be connected directly to the harness
• A sternal (chest) attachment point and a dorsal (back) attachment point for installing a fall arrest system
• Two points on the hips are provided for work positioning
• Attachment point at the back of the hip belt for work restriction
• Equipped with loops for Petzl Caritool tool holders
• Loops for the Petzl Toolbag (equipment bag)
• Available in black with yellow accents or all black (international only)
• Available in 3 sizes: size 0 (XXS-S) / size 1 (S-L) / size 2 (L-XXL)
