Helix HCMH II is a fully modular fall-arrest harness for tactical and professional applications where integration with operational equipment, a low-profile build and certified fall protection are required. The system was developed with significant end-user input and evaluated across a wide range of environments, including maritime and desert conditions. The full-body harness configuration is certified to EN 361 and rated as standard for a user weight of up to 150 kg. The system can be worn over or under plate carriers and is suited to operations where compatibility with other equipment and long-term wearing comfort are important. Availability is strictly limited to Defence, Police and/or tactical units. Pricing is always on request.
Modular deployment
The HCMH II has been designed as one system for multiple configurations. According to the manufacturer, it can be used as a standalone EN 358 riggers belt, an EN 12277 climbing harness and an EN 361 full-body harness. This makes it suitable for situations where different working methods, equipment configurations and operational requirements come together.
Low-profile design and equipment integration
The harness features an ultra-low-profile design with bonded vari-width webbing so it can be worn comfortably under a plate carrier. The construction fully integrates with other on-the-man systems such as life jackets and plate carriers. Where a chest ascender is required, the connection system occupies minimal space on the front of the carrier according to the manufacturer.
Comfort for extended use
Despite its compact construction, loads are said by the manufacturer to be spread more evenly through the use of high-tech materials and manufacturing processes. This contributes to comfort while suspended, both in waist and full-body harness configurations. In addition, the buckles are quick to use, secure and designed not to seize. The system retains minimal water and dries quickly, which is relevant for prolonged use in changing conditions.
