Marlow Diablo is an 11 mm semi-static kernmantle rope with a special heat-resistant sheath. Marlow Diablo was originally designed for tactical units, police, defence and other emergency services. This rope has now also become indispensable for professionals who need a heat-resistant rope for rope access or other rope techniques.
Heat-resistant sheath
When exposed to direct heat (e.g. from a burner or in the vicinity of halogen lamps), Diablo's survival time at temperatures above 300°C is five times longer than that of ordinary static ropes. When exposed to heat up to 300°C, Diablo retains load-bearing properties of more than 10 kN even after 15 minutes, while ordinary static ropes will fail catastrophically after 45 seconds.
