The Teufelberger Antishock chainsaw lanyard is an elastic tool lanyard with an integrated fall arrestor and is used, among other things, to connect the chainsaw to the climbing harness.
Fall arrest device
The integrated fall arrest device ensures that the forces exerted on the climber when the chainsaw is dropped are reduced to approximately 1.5 - 1.8 kN.
Additional safety system
The Antishock chainsaw sling is designed so that if the forces released do not decrease, the line will eventually detach completely. This can happen, for example, when a saw gets stuck in a branch/tree trunk that falls down due to gravity. This prevents the weight of the branch and the impact of the fall from affecting the climber; the tool lanyard releases and the saw falls down with the branch.
Because of this extra safety system, there is no maximum weight limit for the Teufelberger Antishock chainsaw sling.

Not PPE
Important: the Teufelberger Antishock chainsaw sling is not PPE and should therefore not be used for personal fall protection.
