Descender
The TAZ LOV3 complies with various EN standards, including EN 12841 type C. This means the device can be used as an industrial descender for work at height. If you descend too quickly, the LOV3 automatically activates its braking function.
Tensioned lines
The TAZ LOV3 also allows you to descend on tensioned lines (horizontal and vertical).
Mobile fall arresters
Thanks to its various functionalities and standards, the LOV3 is also suitable for use as fall protection. This makes it possible to work with two TAZ LOV3 devices on a double line, with one being used as a descent device and the other as a backup (fall protection). You can lock the LOV3 so that it remains in the same position. This is ideal if you need to work in the same place for a longer period of time. A disadvantage is that it does not descend as smoothly as a Petzl Asap or Asap Lock. Read the user manual in advance for the requirements!
