The Skalt Prostop 6 SE is a retractable fall arrester with 6 metres of polyester webbing and an integrated energy absorber, intended for professional users requiring vertical or horizontal fall protection. It is certified to EN 360:2002 and tested for horizontal use and a fall over a Type A edge in accordance with VG11 RFU #11.060. This version is supplied with a Certus carabiner and a snap hook with a fall indicator.
6-metre polyester webbing with integrated energy absorber
The 25 mm wide polyester webbing provides a working length of 6 metres. The integrated energy absorber forms part of the fall-arrest system. The maximum user weight is 140 kg for vertical use and 100 kg for horizontal use.
Tested for horizontal use over a Type A edge
The edge test was carried out using a burr-free steel edge with a radius of 0.5 mm. Use over comparable edges is permitted only within the conditions specified in the manual; very sharp cutting edges or edges with burrs are excluded. For horizontal use, the anchor point must be level with or above the relevant edge. A minimum clearance of 4 metres is required, and lateral movement must be limited to a maximum of 1.5 metres on either side of the centre line. A prior risk assessment remains essential; the manufacturer recommends avoiding use over edges or fitting edge protection.
