The Skalt Prostop 10 SE Sharp Edge Tested is a retractable fall arrester with a 10-metre steel wire rope for professional users in construction and industry. It is suitable for vertical and horizontal fall protection and has been tested to EN 360 and VG11 RFU 11.060 for use over edges. The maximum user weight is 140 kg for vertical use and 100 kg for horizontal use.
Horizontal and vertical use
The fall arrester locks in the event of a fall, after which the energy absorber absorbs the fall forces. The galvanised steel wire rope provides a working length of 10 metres. The unit is supplied with a Certus carabiner and snap hook for connection within the fall protection system.
Tested for use over edges
The Prostop 10 SE is suitable for use over edges with a minimum radius of 0.5 mm, subject to the manufacturer’s conditions of use. Sharp-edge testing does not imply unrestricted suitability for every edge. A risk assessment, an anchorage point check and sufficient fall clearance are required before use. The manual specifies at least 4 metres of clear space beneath the user’s feet.
