Skalt Prostop

The Skalt Prostop is a self-retracting fall arrester with steel cable, designed for professional use in construction, industry and rope access. The device is available with steel cable in lengths of 15, 20 and 25 metres and is certified to EN 360. The 4.5 mm steel cable works together with an automatic braking mechanism and is suitable for users up to 140 kg, allowing the Prostop to be integrated into permanent or temporary fall protection systems with certified anchor points and fall-arrest harnesses.

Automatic fall-arrest mechanism with limited fall distance
The internal mechanism locks in the event of sudden cable acceleration and limits the fall distance, reducing forces on the user, anchorage point and connecting device. This makes the Prostop suitable for repeated vertical movement along ladders, access routes and fixed structures, where controlled fall arrest and fast brake response are essential to avoid a high fall factor.

Steel cable construction with indefinite service life (subject to conditions)
The 4.5 mm steel cable is engineered for intensive industrial use, providing high abrasion resistance and mechanical strength, as well as resistance to sharp edges. The service life of steel cable fall arrest blocks is in principle indefinite, provided the Prostop is used correctly, periodically inspected and fully examined every 3 years by a certified company. This makes the system suitable for long-term deployment in fixed and semi-permanent fall protection configurations.
