The Petzl Twin Release is a double pulley with a mobile flank on both sides. Designed to be integrated into a hoisting system for confined spaces, technical rescues or other situations. The self-locking cam can be unlocked using the ergonomic lever to lower the load.
Handle for descent
The handle can be used to lower the load. To do this, simply tilt the lever downwards and the load will begin to descend. Although there is no brake, the rope can be easily controlled by hand. If you need more friction, you can use the extra pulley point on the outside of the pulley.
Hoist system
The Petzl Twin Release has been specially developed for use in a hoist system. For this purpose, the Petzl Twin Release can be combined with the Petzl Spin L2. The combination of these two pulleys creates the perfect hoist system with extremely high efficiency (95% efficiency).
Mobile flanks with locking mechanism
The special feature of the Petzl Twin Release is that the mobile flanks can be opened separately, even when they are already anchored. To do this, press down the black locking button, which will reveal a red button. Then slide it upwards to open the pulley. The red button also serves as an indicator, allowing you to see at a glance whether the pulley is locked or not.
