The Petzl Mini Traxion is a small pulley with a backstop and mobile side plate. The mobile side plate makes it possible to install a rope even when the pulley is already anchored. In addition, the Mini Traxion has a backstop, which locks as soon as the load is released.
Assembling a hoist set
The Petzl Mini Traxion is particularly useful in a hoist set for light to medium loads. For light loads, it is possible to hoist without a hoist advantage (1:1). If the load becomes too heavy for this, you can easily create a hoist advantage by combining the Mini Traxion with a Petzl Rescucender and Rollclip, as shown in the video from 0:48.
Petzl Pro Traxion or Petzl Mini Traxion
The Petzl Pro Traxion and Mini Traxion are two similar pulleys. The main difference is the size of the pulley and the rope diameter with which the pulleys are compatible.
