Petzl I'D Evac

The Petzl I'D Evac is an industrial descent device with an anti-panic function and a safety feature that prevents incorrect installation of the line. This model is specially designed for use in a (pick off) rescue system.

Anti-panic function
Thanks to the integrated anti-panic function, the device automatically locks in the event of a descent at excessive speed. Once the ID Evac is in the locking position, the lock can be released by turning the handle back, after which the descent can be continued.

Rescue and evacuation
The ID Evac has an additional diversion point on the mobile flank. This allows extra friction to be created during a descent for extra control over the victim's descent speed.

The ID lever is designed so that it does not need to be raised during a Pick-Off rescue, but rather lowered. This also provides extra control and grip on the victim's descent speed.

Specifications:

• Features a click-lock system on the mobile flank to prevent loss of the device. This also facilitates installation on the rope and transferring to the rope.
• Thanks to an integrated screw, the mobile flank can be locked so that the ID Evac can be integrated into a rescue kit without the risk of the line being installed incorrectly.
• Locking pawl with an "error indicator" that prevents accidents caused by incorrect insertion of the rope into the device; the ID locks when a line is installed incorrectly.
• Suitable for lowering heavy loads up to 250 kg.
• Suitable for ropes with a diameter of 10.0 to 11.5 mm.
• Weight: 615 grams.
• As a supplement to the Petzl ID Evac, an additional/replacement brake block (open or closed) is available for extra control during descent.
