The Petzl Basic is a compact and lightweight ascender for climbing fixed ropes or installing a hoist system with a backstop.
- Compact ascender that fits comfortably in the hand
- Equipped with a locking pawl with slanted teeth and a cleaning slot for optimal performance in all conditions (frozen rope, mud, etc.)
- This locking pawl is made of stainless steel for better corrosion resistance
- Equipped with a wide connection eye at the bottom so that the carabiners for the lifeline and foot loop can be easily connected
- Connection eye at the top for attaching the rope with a snap hook
