Petzl Avao Fast

The Petzl AVAO FAST is a comfortable and versatile fall-arrest harness for professionals in rope access, industry and construction carrying out work positioning and rope descent tasks. Its construction is designed for prolonged use, with contoured foam in the contact areas, a semi-rigid waistbelt and semi-rigid leg loops for stable support throughout the working day. The AVAO FAST is available as a European Version and an International Version. Both versions are suitable for a descender, positioning lanyards and fall-arrest systems.

Comfort and organisation
Widely spaced shoulder straps help reduce neck chafing, while thin, sliding straps support freedom of movement. All contact zones feature contoured foam and a breathable lining. The metal side attachment points can be folded away to reduce accidental snagging when not in use. For equipment organisation, the waistbelt features five pre-shaped gear loops with a protective sheath and two slots for CARITOOL or the INTERFAST system. The leg loops are fitted with FAST opening buckles for quick fastening and unfastening, even when wearing gloves.

European and International versions
The European Version is certified to CE EN 361, EN 813 and EN 358 and weighs 1695 g to 1835 g, depending on size. The International Version adds broader international compliance with ANSI Z359.11, ANSI Z459.1, CSA Z259.10, NFPA 2500 class 3, GB 6095: Q-W-Z and compliance with the Japanese fall-protection standard. This version also adds a parking system on the shoulder straps for fall-arrest lanyard connectors and a red fall indicator on the dorsal attachment point, showing that the harness must be retired after a fall. The International Version weighs between 2060 g and 2200 g.
