In industrial environments, there are no sharp edges or burrs, and we have been doing this for more than 20 years. Now I hear that we are moving away from this and everyone wants steel slings? Answer Slings may be used on I-profiles, provided that the profiles are free of sharp edges and burrs that could damage the webbing. According to the NEN-EN 1492-1 standard for textile lifting slings, it is permitted to use slings as long as there is no risk of wear or damage from sharp or rough surfaces. In recent years, however, there has been a clear trend towards the use of steel slings. This is because steel lifting equipment is much more resistant to harsh conditions, sharp edges and high temperatures. In addition, stricter safety regulations and internal policies increasingly emphasise risk minimisation, making steel slings the preferred choice. It is always important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and inspect the lifting equipment regularly to ensure safe working practices.

These anchor slings are designed to anchor a person to an anchor point. These slings are standardised in accordance with EN 354 (Lanyards and energy absorbers) and EN 566 (Slings). Slings can be connected to each other using a suitable knot, but this will reduce their maximum breaking strength. We strongly recommend that you opt for a longer sling loop (instead of two short ones).
