The AWAH Z3-Fire is a drill-powered device for ascending, descending and moving loads on static rope. It combines an ascender, a descender and a progress-capture pulley in one compact unit. The Z3-Fire is suitable for rope positioning and rescue applications.
Drill-powered operation
The Z3-Fire operates with a brushless drill fitted with an 8 mm hex drive. For loads up to approximately 125 kg, at least 120 Nm is required. For optimum operation up to 285 kg, a drill with at least 150 Nm is recommended. The maximum permitted torque is 180 Nm and the maximum speed is 2500 rpm. A 5.0 Ah battery is sufficient for short distances and light loads; an 8.0 Ah battery is recommended for loads from 150 kg and rope lengths above 200 m.
Dual self-locking
The integrated dual self-locking mechanism engages in the event of gearbox failure. The descent function is designed for controlled operation under load. The rope wheel is a wear part and can be replaced by the user.
