Ikar HAS

The IKAR HAS Fall arrester is a highly robust, industrial fall arrester for personal fall protection, equipped with a steel cable and an automatic descent function.

After a fall, the user automatically descends at a controlled speed of 0.5 metres per second.

This automatic descent function is ideal when there is no one in the immediate vicinity who could perform a rescue, when the fall arrest block is too high to allow a rescue, or when other circumstances arise that necessitate immediate evacuation downwards.

Specifications:

• Available with a galvanised steel cable with a length of 9 m (5 kg), 18 m (11 kg) and 30 m (17 kg)
• Available with a stainless steel cable with a length of 9 m (5 kg) and 18 m (11 kg)
• Equipped as standard with an aluminium double-action hook (see 3rd image). This aluminium safety hook is equipped with a fall indicator as standard
• Other types of hooks available on request
• Maximum descent speed: 0.5 metres per second

• Maximum user weight IKAR HAS 9 m & 18 m: 136 kg
• Maximum user weight IKAR HAS 16m (this length is no longer available) & 30m: 100 kg
• Steel cable has a diameter of 4.8 mm
• Important: The application shown in the video is only one of the many possible applications of the IKAR HAS fall arrest block. Such an application must be described in detail in an RI&E, in which anchor points must at least comply with the values specified in the technical specifications of the IKAR fall arrest block.
