The Edelrid Fuse is specially designed to stop a fall, slipping or an uncontrolled descent. At a speed of 2 metres per second or more, the Fuse locks and stops the fall. Because the safety cam does not have sharp teeth, the Fuse is less aggressive on your rope. To use the Fuse, a matching Defuser fall absorber must be attached to it.
Combine with Defuser fall arrest device
The Edelrid Fuse must be used in combination with one of the Defuser fall arresters. You can choose between the Defuser S, Defuser L and Defuser rescue, depending on the desired application. In the correct configuration, the Fuse is suitable for users up to 140 kg or 220 kg in the case of a rescue. For more information, read the technical specifications or contact us.
Locks in the event of a fall or uncontrolled movement
The Fuse automatically moves up and down your line. In the event of an uncontrolled movement or fall at a speed of 2 metres per second or more, the Fuse locks immediately and stops the fall. Once the Fuse has locked, it can be unlocked manually.
