CMC Harken Clutch

The CMC Harken Clutch is the ideal device for rope access and rescue work. Its multi-functionality allows it to be used for various tasks, including descending, ascending, efficient hoisting and securing. The Clutch is easy to use and has a mobile flank that can also be opened during work. In addition, the rope runs smoothly through the device, which means that ascending on line and hoisting loads can be achieved without much force.

Stainless steel parts
The CMC Harken Clutch is equipped with a stainless steel disc that moves efficiently and also makes a ratcheting sound, so that in addition to being visually apparent, it is also audible that progress is being made during hoisting or ascending. The CMC Harken Clutch has a milled aluminium interior with wear indicators (stainless steel) that guarantee the durability of the device.

Additional attachment point
The CMC Harken Clutch has an extra attachment point for creating an additional turning point for an efficient hoisting system.

Anti-panic function
The anti-panic function of the CMC Harken Clutch ensures that if the lever is pulled too hard, the rope will not pass further through the device and the descent will be stopped.

Overload protection
The device is also equipped with a weight limiter that prevents any overload. If the Clutch is overloaded, it can no longer be operated using the lever. It will only become operable again once the load has been removed from the line.To prevent the Clutch from becoming so overloaded that it becomes unusable, the line will slip over the disc, allowing the load to descend in a "controlled" manner.
