The Skylotec Quick Step-A is an aluminium foot ascender for rope ascent during rope access and tree care operations. Used in conjunction with a handled ascender or chest ascender, it makes rope ascent easier and faster. The foot ascender is available in separate left-foot and right-foot versions. The Quick Step-A is not personal protective equipment (PPE) and must not be used as a fall-arrest device.
Integrated mechanism with self-cleaning cam
The cam/lever mechanism is fully integrated into the body for a compact construction. The self-cleaning cam also functions on dirty or icy ropes. An opening lever holds the device open while the rope is inserted; the mechanism helps prevent accidental rope release.
Adjustable attachment with reinforced underside
The fully adjustable webbing allows correct positioning on the boot. The underside is reinforced with tubular webbing. The left-foot Quick Step-A L and right-foot Quick Step-A R are each intended for the corresponding foot.
