The 3M Protecta Cabloc is a fall arrest device for personal fall protection and can be used on vertical Cabloc systems. The user can climb freely up and down the steel cable. In the event of an uncontrolled movement or a fall, the fall arrest device locks immediately. Thanks to the integrated fall absorber, the forces exerted on the body are limited to <6kN.
For use with 3M Protecta Cabloc installations
The 3M Protecta Cabloc has been tested on all Cabloc system configurations*, which means that the vertical fall arrester can be used with both old and new systems.
*with 8 mm 6 x 19 galvanised cable and 8 mm 7 x 19 stainless steel cable.
Integrated damper
Thanks to the integrated fall damper, the forces released on the body are limited to <6kN. In addition, the damper serves as a fall indicator, which is activated after a fall, allowing the user to see whether the device has had to absorb an (excessive) impact.
