Petzl Maestro Hoist and Lowering Set

The Petzl Maestro hoist and descent kit is designed for the efficient and rapid movement of a person/victim. The kit is delivered ready for use so that the user can act quickly and effectively, without wasting time assembling the kit.

Remote control of the Petzl Maestro
The Petzl Maestro has a tie-in point on the handle of the device. This point is suitable for attaching a throw line, the Petzl Airline. Tie a stop knot at the end of the throw line so that the line cannot be pulled through the tie-in point on the handle. This addition allows the Petzl Maestro hoist and descent set to be operated remotely, giving the operator a better view of the person being lowered. NB. Use one hand to hold both the rope and the throw line, so that the descent can be carried out safely and in a controlled manner.

This kit contains the following components:

Petzl Maestro (1 piece)
The most important part of this set is the Petzl Maestro, which has been specially developed for use during technical rescue operations. It makes it possible to lower even heavy loads in a controlled manner or to hoist them up. Thanks to the ergonomic handle, the user retains control over the descent speed. The device is designed so that you can switch directly from the descent to the hoist function without first having to block the load and/or transfer it to another system.

Petzl OK triact lock (3 pieces)
To attach the set to the anchor point, the Petzl Maestro to the Petzl Minder pulley and to the victim, this Petzl Maestro hoist and descent set includes the Petzl OK triact lock. This lightweight aluminium carabiner is ideal for use with hoist systems, partly because of its keylock system, which prevents the carabiner from becoming accidentally hooked during suspension or attachment of the set to the victim.By using a carabiner in the hoist system instead of a semi-permanent anchorage (such as a quick link), the user can always quickly assemble and disassemble the system and use it for a different hoist ratio or other application.

Petzl Minder (1 piece)
The pulley block of this single pulley is mounted on a waterproof ball bearing to ensure excellent efficiency. In addition, the anchor point of this pulley is large enough to attach 3 carabiners, making it suitable for complex situations.

Petzl Twin (1 piece)
The Petzl Twin is a large double pulley that is suitable for both 3:1 and 5:1 hoisting systems. This pulley is equipped with an additional attachment point, making it suitable for complex hoisting systems.

Petzl Axis 11 mm (30 or 60 metres)
The Petzl Axis 11 mm is a polyamide semi-static kernmantle rope (type A). The 11 mm diameter provides excellent speed control during descents, for example. It complies with the EN1891-A standard, making it suitable for rope access, rescue kits and other types of fall protection. The line comes with 1 sewn rope end.

Petzl bucket red (25 or 35 litres)
This upright equipment bag from Petzl has a large opening for easy access to the equipment.
