The Petzl Shunt is an ascender for extra safety for use on single ropes of 10–11 mm and double ropes of 8–11 mm.
Specifications:
- Placed below a descender, the Petzl Shunt can be used to secure a rappel descent and replaces self-locking knots such as Prusik cords.
- Can be used for ascending single and double ropes
- Easy to install on the rope
- Smooth braking pieces to prevent damage to the rope
