You are legally obliged to have your PPE fall protection equipment (PPE stands for Personal Protective Equipment) tested at least once a year. Officially, it has been stated that the test must be carried out at least once every 12 months (or more often in case of intensive use) and after every fall.

The inspection and testing cannot be carried out by just anyone. It is a legal requirement that only persons/companies specialising in this field are allowed to carry out this inspection.

PLEASE NOTE!

The regulations governing the inspection of PPE in Belgium differ from those in the Netherlands. In Belgium, only a recognised inspection service is permitted to inspect PPE. Such an inspection service is also known as an EDTC (External Technical Inspection Service). We inspect for several Belgian clients, but do not have the Belac certificate (Belgian Accreditation Institution).

Please use a sturdy box that is securely taped shut. Any space left in the box should be filled. Boxes may not weigh more than 25 kg in total.

It is also possible to deliver the materials that need to be inspected to our premises in Breda yourself. We will then make an appointment on the spot regarding the turnaround time and the collection or dispatch of the relevant inspection.

Our inspectors can also carry out fall protection inspections on site.

The cost for this is €95.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of 6 hours.*

We provide free registration and certificates for all products purchased from us and inspections carried out by us.

Personal dashboard
At the time of purchase, we process all individual item numbers in our registration system. As a customer, you can also view this registration system directly via your personal dashboard. When you log in with your customer details (click on “Account Login” at the top right, in the black bar), you will be taken to the dashboard. Here you will find an overview of everything that is relevant to you:

Inspections
Under the “Inspections” tab, you will find all the items you have purchased from us and which must be inspected at least once a year. Items that you did not purchase from us but had inspected by us can also be found here.

In the inspections menu, you can filter all your products by:

• Individual number
• Brand and product name
• Characteristic (to be added by yourself)
• Expiry date
• Status

For each product, you can see when the current inspection is valid until and you can download the full certificate (which records all inspections and comments).

In addition to the report per product, it is also possible to download a complete overview containing all your PPE.

Inspection reminder - free reminder by e-mail when your inspection expires
We believe it is important that our customers always work with inspected equipment. In the event of an accident or a (random) inspection, you, as an employer or self-employed person, will always be asked about the inspection status of the equipment you are working with. We also understand that you do not log in to the dashboard every day to check the inspection status of your equipment, as you are busy working.

That is why we send you a monthly email (i.e. a maximum of 12 times a year) with a complete overview of the expiry dates of your inspections. We will send you a reminder two months before an inspection expires. This service is completely free of charge for end users.

Lead Time
We aim to return inspections within 5-10 working days. Larger inspection assignments (on-site) are always scheduled in consultation.

Inspection Reports
The individual inspection reports can be found online in your personal account after the inspection. You will receive an email reminder from us when an inspection expires within two months.

Conditions
Products must be delivered in reasonably clean condition, and each product must be provided with a legible individual number including information about brand, type, and standard, and, if applicable, length/diameter.

Items purchased elsewhere can also be inspected by us, provided that they meet the above-mentioned conditions.

Return Shipment
The inspected fall protection equipment will be returned to the address you provided, including:

• Approved products
• Any replacement items (by agreement)
• Rejected PPE fall protection will not be returned unless explicitly requested

For the return of inspected PPE fall protection, we do not charge shipping costs within the Netherlands and Belgium for inspections starting from €75. For inspections up to €75, a contribution of €5.95 applies. Pallet shipments are charged at cost price. All prices are excluding VAT.

Asbestos
We operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding asbestos. It is strictly prohibited to offer fall protection materials for inspection that have been in contact with asbestos.

Repairs / Additional Costs
Repairs and/or additional costs will be quoted in advance.

All electrical work equipment, ladders, and steps used in the workplace must be inspected in accordance with standards NEN 3140, NEN 2484, and NEN 1004.

Safety first
To ensure the safety of employees, all electrical work equipment, ladders, and steps used in the workplace must be periodically inspected in accordance with standards NEN 3140, NEN 2484, and NEN 1004. In most cases, this involves an annual inspection.

“Electrical work equipment” refers to all electrical devices with a plug that are used in the workplace — for example, power tools, battery chargers, extension cords, and even office computers.

Risks
To determine which inspection regime applies, a risk analysis is carried out. The result of this analysis determines the likelihood of defects, depending on several factors.

Inspection
The equipment is visually inspected, checked for conformity, tested for electrical insulation, tested for leakage current, and functionally tested. If the device passes all tests, it is approved and provided with our inspection sticker.

All ladders and steps used in the company must be inspected annually. These inspections are carried out using the appropriate checklist, and after completion, you receive an administrative overview of all climbing equipment together with a certificate for each item.
