We are sharing this notice regarding Miller Falcon+ Self-Retracting
Lifeline (SRL) units manufactured between March 1, 2024 and
September 4, 2025.

We are sharing this notice regarding Miller Falcon+ Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) units manufactured between March 1, 2024 and September 4, 2025.
During internal testing, we observed that certain units may not engage the activation mechanism as intended. We have not received any customer complaints or reports of performance anomalies in the field. This communication is precautionary and intended to support safe product use. We want to assure you that the safety and strength of our products remain our top priority.

1. Pause Use of Affected Units
Please temporarily remove the listed Miller Falcon+ Self-Retracting Lifeline units from service until inspection is completed.
2. Inspect Each Unit
Locate the manufacturing date on the label atop the Miller Falcon+ Self-Retracting Lifeline housing cover.
Perform a Visual and Functional inspection as described in the “Retractable Inspection Sheet” (Doc ID: 90011466): Check that the locking function is operating by tugging on the cable which should lock instantly. Pull it a second time to confirm.
After following the instructions, complete the attached “Recording Report” and send it to techniserv.hsp@honeywell.com
3. If the Unit Locks according to the inspection procedure:
- Your unit is working properly and is safe for use
- The unit may be returned to service
- Use the attached recording report and send it to techniserv.hsp@honeywell.com
4. If the Unit Does Not Lock
- Set the unit aside
- Contact: techniserv.hsp@honeywell.com
- Our customer service team will provide instructions on how to arrange return and replacement of your unit as quick as possible
Units manufactured before September 4, 2025. These have been inspected at our distribution centers and now carry a green sticker on the box to confirm they have passed the check and will not require additional inspection in order to assure safe use.
Units manufactured on or after September 4, 2025. These were produced after corrective actions were implemented and have also been inspected.
